"The Tale of Pigling Bland" by Beatrix Potter

From 'The Tale of Pigling Bland' by Beatrix Potter. I have never seen this image or heard of this little piggie, have you? Lisa made a comment and said this one is Pig-wig  Thanks, Lisa.
I love the antiques in the drawing and want to know more about the Pig-wig in her nightgown. via Read more about the story here.

No, me either. Can't say that she's very appealing. Not nearly as cute as her other characters. But, fun to see, none-the-less. Thanks for sharing your BP finds with us.

justaweecatnap -- That pig was much more popular in the UK than in America. I can still remember the "aroma" of all the pig farms in the English countryside while touring the Cotswolds.

Well, I was thrown off a bit by the dress and color of the pig. I've read all of the BP books to my three children (long since grown) and couldn't recall this image from "The Tale of Little Pig Robinson". It's actually from "The Tale of Pigling Bland" and she is Pig-wig. Thanks for the image and a stroll down memory lane. I just might have to re-read all of them for my own pleasure.
